sE Continues to Shine

I use this mic as a travel mic when I have to be on the road. It does a great job filling in for my home studio's sE2200.

Sounds very good for the price

So this is in comparison to a Shure Beta 87A capturing the sounds of a piano. And to my ears, this sE X1 microphone does a better job capturing the articulations of a piano better than the Beta 87A. It maybe due to the pickup pattern (cardioid vs supercardioid). It maybe the frequency response (20-20kHz vs 50-18kHz). But having the microphone placed in the same spot (at the far end of a grand piano), the sE X1 sounded more natural and "fuller" than the Beta 87A. This is most likely not a good comparison, but I'm happy with the results. A more rounded low end and a clearer high end. Only grip are the switches, they move with the slightest touch.

Great product

It's heavy, sturdy, the build quality is great. It does offer some nice features, allowing you to control your sound perfectly. For example, you can remove background noises by turning volume up, enabling -20db options and getting close to the mic. I don't use it as a professional tool, just as a nice home device.

Truly Excellent Vocal Mic

I bought this upon recommendation from a friend and she was absolutely spot on. This mic has seriously upped my live streaming game with vocals that are rich and clear. You don't so much sing into this mic as allow it to effortlessly draws the sound from you. A delight to work with.
