Perfect for beginners. Great mic, sounds so much better than a headset or pop up mic. but just as easy to use.

This is an absolutely excellent mic for the price. Sound quality is excellent. Build quality it excellent. I cannot complain at all.

This is one of the most versatile mics I own. It's a given that it works well in a home studio as well as having a very good price-to-performance ratio, Read some of the other reviews for that.

For me this is perfect for a drum kit overhead because the frequency range picks up toms, snare drum and cymbals with a great deal of clarity. It will also pick up the bass drum as an overhead, which makes it ideal for acoustic jazz or other acoustic genres. For louder music this overhead and a kick drum mic may be all you need.

Very nice home/project studio mic. The roll off switch is a nice feature even though with modern EQ and a decent preamp, you will be or at least able to adjust these parameters farther down the signal path. The literature recommends it for Rap vocals or male vocals, but I have used it across all vocal types and genders and yet to notice a lack or benefit between them all. I do recommend that it be run through a good vocal preamp, the mic's "sonic body" really comes out with a nice tube preamp pushing it through to your interface/tape-machine (if there is anyone else out there that still rolls with reel-to-reel). It is my go-to mic when I need to do some speaking or voice-over even podcasting.

I upgraded to this from the Blue Yeti, and I had to of course buy some other equipment for this microphone to work, but I have to say, the quality is really impressive! Even with the extra money I spent on the other equipment, this was absolutely worth every cent!
